A Timeline of Data Dimension's History

Data Dimensions’ history goes back to March, 1974, when Walter L. Bush recognized the need for a quality data capture service bureau in the Midwest and founded the W.L. Bush Company. The company was reorganized as Data Dimensions Corporation in July, 1982. Throughout its history, the company has experienced tremendous growth, not only in staff and facilities, but also in the expansion of our service offerings. This has allowed us to provide the best possible customer experience for our clients. Data Dimensions continues to expand its service offerings to meet today’s document and data automation challenges. We serve a wide variety of industries with state-of-the-art technology that can adapt to our clients’ needs. Data Dimensions is firmly positioned as one of the largest and most respected privately-held document and data automation services providers, offering excellence in customer service with on time, accurate results.

Thompson Street Capital Partners

In November of 2019, Thompson Street Capital Partners completed its investment in Data Dimensions.
January 1

GSA Schedule 36 Contract

In early 2017, Data Dimensions is awarded a five-year U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 36 contract.

Inc. 5000

This is the fourth time Data Dimensions has made the prestigious Inc. 5000 list, ranking this year in the #1,869 spot. It has moved up more than 3,000 spots since its initial appearance in 2012, when it ranked #4,969.
November 5

Health Edge

In November of 2014, HealthEdge Investment Partners Fund II completed its investment in Data Dimensions. The investment enhanced Data Dimensions’ opportunities to drive continued growth by bringing together its proven track record of innovation, market leadership and customer focus with HealthEdge’s industry knowledge, experience and network.

Shortly after announcing having hired its 1000th employee, Data Dimensions once again earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in 2014.

Mt. Sterling, Kentucky Facility

Because of continued growth for the company, an additional BPO facility became a necessity. In 2014, Data Dimensions began the remodel of an existing location in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Tier II Data Center and BPO Facility

To better serve clients and accommodate their increasing business needs, as well as to allow for a growing client base, the new Tier II Data Center and BPO facility was built in Clinton, Iowa.

Data Dimensions earned Inc. Magazine’s Hire Power Award in 2013, having generated 350 jobs from Jan. 1, 2012, to June 30, 2013, placing it among the top five private business job creators within the business products and services industry, and placing it among the top 100 private business job creators..Read More

In 2012, Data Dimensions earned a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing, privately held companies. Data Exchange

Data Dimensions continued to grow its family of facilities in 2012 by acquiring Data Exchange in Brown Deer, WI.

Tier III Data Center

Completed in 2010, the 20,000-square-foot, Tier III Data Center was built in Janesville, WI. The facility is capable of withstanding an F5 tornado and provides an infrastructure composed of multiple active power and cooling distribution paths, concurrently maintainable to safeguard mission-critical data.

Olim Technologies Group

The year 2009 was an extremely busy year with several initiatives, including the acquisition of our long-valued partner, Olim Technologies Group.

New Corporate Headquarters

Our corporate headquarters relocated to a new 40,000 square foot facility with room for additional, future service capabilities.

Offshore Partnership

To increase data capture options and ensure ongoing value for its clients, Data Dimensions established an offshore partnership in 2000.

Data Dimensions introduced a records management solution to our industry in 1997 with the opening of our Records Management Center in Janesville.

Clinton, Iowa Facility

Data Dimensions continued to grow and in 1988, we opened a second processing facility in Clinton, Iowa, 40 minutes from the Quad Cities.
